GW ceramic Strip heaters are an excellent way of using surface area to transfer heat effectively. The heater consists of coiled nickel-chromium wire, properly centred and imbedded in a high grade refractory material (special ceramic formula) which insures good insulation and rapid transfer of heat. Steel strip heaters can easily be controlled by using either mechanical thermostat to cost effective bimetal thermostats that can be installed on the surface you are heating. Strip heaters can be clamped or bolted onto objects or solid surface contact heating over large areas and are primarily used in indoor applications.
