GW Mica Band heaters are constructed by using a resistance element wounded around a sheet of mica, insulated on both sides with mica, and then a sheet stainless steel is folded around the composite layers of mica. Electrical connections are made through post terminals or insulated or heat resistance over-braided leads. Band heaters are used in a wide variety of industrial applications mostly to heat cylinders such as pipe heating, drum heating, nozzles of plastic injection and extruding machines or any other circular applications.
